Police struggling to recruit anti-terror squad over prosecution fears

POLICE chiefs are struggling to implement a plan
to put an anti-terror squad of 600 Robocops on
patrol in London.
STRUGGLE: Police chiefs are having difficulties

Rank and file Met officers were said to be shocked
by his arrest.
A senior source in the Met Police Federation said:
“My colleagues will not sign up. Why would they?
“They have to make a life-or-death decision in
seconds, and their career is down the pan.”

The officer who opened fire was later arrested and
faced a “criminal homicide investigation” from the
Independent Police Complaints Commission.
